We dit it!!

We have closed on our first home!! Alek & I are SO excited and can't wait to get in there and get painting and setting it up to be our very own.

It's a great little 3 bedroom home with 2 baths, 2 car garage and a lovely backyard for Sabine to play in. Yay!!

We've made our downpayments, given notice at our Apartment complex and are pricing flooring companies to come in and put down the laminate flooring we want.

Whew....the next month is going to be CRAZY!

Nutritional Assessment

Had my NA today - very helpful. Never thought I'd actually consider tofu as a protein source - but Alice made it sound very appetizing.

I've been practicing chewing and not drinking with dinner - so that has been good. One thing I'd never thought of - but will definitely be putting into practice more now is thinking not about "What do I want to eat" but more "What does my body want to eat." Many times, these are VERY different things!!

Got a call...

Geez, it's been so long since I posted. I've kind of gotten off track waiting for the banding while looking for a new house.

Oh well, it's gotten my mind off of sitting by the phone waiting for insurance and the docs to get their things together.

I got a call this morning from Dr. Benavides' (the surgeon) office - Penny - who said the insurance company wants "just two more things." The H-Pylori test - which Dr. Maese had already ordered, and a nutritional consult. I'm going to call Cynthia at Bandlandia to see how soon that can be done.

Wow...by Thanksgiving I could be banded!!
