A "Lap" Band?
No, I'm not a groupie for a Scandinavian musical group. My Lap Band is a surgical weight loss aid – placed in day surgery, adjustable, and is fully reversible. No cutting, stapling or rearranging my innards! This is about my journey through this new phase of my life, living with this device wrapped around my tummy. Researching the band? It's a tool - not a miracle. It's not an easy way out. Some weeks I lose - others, I don't. It’s a journey and I’m loving it!

So where are you now? I am considering this surgery and your brief blog helped me tremendously. I could relate to every item on your list! I am pushing 400+ pounds with two kids under 4 years old and scared that I will run out of breath chasing them one day! I am eager to hear how you are doing...
