Finally...

Ok - I've done it. I've made an appointment with Dr. J's office for my first fill in almost 9 months - or at least a check-up of the band.

Wednesday, September 6 - 1:30 pm - No Excuses!

  • Hi Liz.... I have just spent the last 2 hours reading your blog from start to finish... I finally had the LB surgery 15 days ago.

    I have been writing a blog for a couple of years on and off, and reall got motivated to write it more regularly when decided to have surgery.

    I would REALLY like to know how you are getting on. PLEASE UPDATE YORU BLOG... You told us to beg you in a previous post!!! :o)

    I am from Cambridgeshire, England and I opted to have my surgery in Belgium for financial reasons. I paid for it myself and it cost just under $8000 for the whole package (surgery, hotel, travel etc)

    I would love to keep in touch, because we dont have any support groups around here, so its just me and another girl who had surgery same day as me.

    PLEASE update yoru blog, as I would REALLY love to know how you are doing.

    I have lost exactly 14lbs so far in 15 days.

  • Hi,

    I'm Maria, 39 from Australia. I don't think I can afford lap band surgery though my doctor wants me to have it. I have a consulation booked in with a surgeon in July - but we can't afford to be $2,500 out of pocket (even with insurance.. so we're told). I have many health related problems due to my weight -so this is why for the first time in my life I'm saying "well.. ok what if I had this done somehow"?

    I've read your blog from start to finish tonight - and yeah, I'd love to know where you're at.
